FRENCH CRISIS FEARED
LONDON ANXIETY Will Popular Front Collapse ? POLITICIANS IN A QUANDARY. (Aus & N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, March 3. The political correspondent of the Australian Press Association reports: “I understand that the situation which is now developing in France as the result of financial difficulties ma} have serious repercussions, on the international situation. Conceivably, it will lead to disorders in France within the next few weeks. “These developments are arousing considerable concern in London. . because Britain is at present so intimately bound up with France that she would be drawn into any crisis, which, moreover, might be a temptation to Herr Hitler. “The French are in a Mate of alarm. They find their dilemma intensified because nobodv is anxious to replace M. Blum. “Blum’s only chance of saving the situation may be a national appeal, hoping to .rally the nation. One of few factors in hisj favour is that tue army is at present very strong, and it is believed to be entirely unaffected by politics.” ’
