A light-heavyweight boxing contest this evening, between Roy De Gans (12.2), tlie American Negro and Ray Nicol (12.fi) was win, by De Gans on points. There was a packed house. De Gans won practically every round. Over the second half of the contest, ho scored at will, and lie punished Nicol heavily. De Gans has been matched to fight I iny Nicholls (A list ralian heavyweight) at Invercargill mi July I. Nicholls also meets Max Rosenbloom at. the Sydney Stadium on .Tune 15, and he leaves for New Zealand immediately afterwards.
