The Management Committee of the Metters Soccer Club passed a resolution that four players from that Club selected to tour New Zealand with the Australian team, "be not allowed to go.” A full meeting has been convened for Tuesday night, when a move will be made to rescind the resolution. It. is probable that officials < C the club, State and Australian Associations, will bo deputed to wart upon the management, with o view to getting unqualified leave of absence for the players. England is no longer able to claim Soccer pre-eminence, as yesterday, th" Austrians defeated a. strong English eleven at Vienna in the presence of sixty thousand, including Prince Starhemberg, and President Miklas.
