WEDDING

ANDERSON—O ’NEILL. A quiet and very pretty wedding was solemnised on Wednesday morning at St. Francis De Sales Church, Rang!ora, which was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, when James Robin Anderson, fourth son of Mrs. Catherine, and the late Mr. Anderson, Puketahi Street, Greymouth, and Monica Mary (Peggy) O’Neill, second daughter of Mrs. E. and the late Mr. Cornelius O’Neill, Rangiora, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony The Rev. Father McKay, formerly xf Hokitika, was the officiating clergy man. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Edward O’Neill* looked very charming in a frock of magnolia satin, cut in siim-fitting lines and forming a train ar the back. The veil, which was worn with a silk lace cap and band of orange blossom at the back, was of cream tulle, embroidered in silk and pearls, forming a second train, while the bodice of the frock formed a cowl neckline, trimmed with si’ver and ivory roses: there being a plaited girdle of magnolia. satin, with silver tassels, which reached the hemline, and sleeves point ed over the wrists, trimmed with ivory and silver buttons. She carried a sheaf of arum lillies and maiden-hair fern. i The bridesmaid, Miss Laura O’Neill, sister of the bride, looked very dainty in a frock of salmon nk velvet, cut on slim-fitting lines, forming a train at the back; puff sleeves with pink lace mittens to match; the frock being trimmed with silver lame and pink velvet buttons; girdle of plaited pink velvet and silver lame and silver tassels, which reached the hemline, and her hat being a pink halo of velvet and silver lame, with silver shoes to match. He bouquet was of pink and mauve sweet peas, pink carnations and maiden-hair fern. Mr. Leo. Martyn, Greymouth (captain of the Pirate Football Club’s senior team, of which Mr. Anderson is President), ably carried out the duties of best man. Mrs. O’Neill, wearing a black tulip frock with coat and hat to tone, and bouquet of spring flowers, assisted by the sister, Mrs. Owen Alford, who wore a frock of wine flairocain silk, hat, ‘shoes and stockings to tone, received her guests at the Celtic Hall, Rangiora, where the wedding reception was held. Amidst the best wishes of their many friends, the happy couple left by the South express on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a blue and white pin stripe costume, pink smocked blouse, grey hat, with shoes, stockings, purse and gloves to match.
