Mr Hugh Smith, of Inangahua. the well-known writer of^verse, who is at present on a visit, to Greymouth, has had a song of his composition accepted by a leading Hollywood organisation, and it is shortly to be heard in Australia. Sir Herbert Hart, Administrator, of Samoa, left Apia on July 25, having completed his term of appointment. Registrar of Deeds and Examiner of Titles for the provincial districts of Westland and Otago for more than 25 years, including a period of 11 years as Deputy Commissioner of Stamps, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies for the provincial district of Westland.
