SAFE ROBBED
At Coalgate Station CITY CAR USED. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, June 10. Thieves who broke into the combined railway station and post office at Coalgate, on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning, used a .stolen motor ear. They took the safe from the premises, drove it away, blew the safe door with dynamite, and left it on the roadway. The thieves broke into the building bv a window' on the platform and look oiie of three safes. This they forced by filling the keyhole with explosive. The car, which belonged to R. Keir, of Colombo Street, city, was found abandoned to-day in Riccarton Avenue. From the safe the thieves took a cheque for ,Cl 4 and £2 in cash.
