WHIPPET RACING

The committee of the Dunollie Whippet Racing Club met on Monday night, and dealt with a large, amount of routine business. The chairman (Mr W. Robson) spoke feelingly of the demise of another pioneer, father of some of the leading members of the Club, and asked all members to stand as a token of respect. It was resolved to hold a sweepstake meeting on the 2nd. prox., the events to comprise open Hat. lightweight, extended nursery, maiden hurdles, open hurdles, nursery and middleweight. All entries arc to be in not later than to-morrow (Thursday) at 8 p.m 1 . AU dog'owners, if not already members of a club, arc to join up without further delay, in order to prevent friction, and also, before using the tracks, to become conversant with the Dunollie Chib’s rules.
