SALE OF JERSEY HERD. NEW PLYMOUTH, May 27. 'r'he unusually high price of 320 guineas for recent years marked the opening of the Taranaki Jersey Keek to-day, when E. Griffith’s stud, named the Barton S'tud,. was offered. The top price was paid by Heaphy’s Limited, of Grey tow n k for an imported bull, Vagabond of OakJands. The next best price was 81 guineas, and the herd of 46 realised 1122| guineas. RABBITSKIN SALE. There was a full bench of buyers at our sale held at Dunedin on May 21st, when a large catalogue was of fered. Competition was again keen, and prices showed a sharp rise as compared with last sale. Otago Farmers’ Co-op Association report:—Racks advanced 4d. per lb. and Autumn grades advanced 3d to 4d. per lb. Incoming and Early Winter skins were keenly sought after at prices from 4d to lOd. per lb. higher than last sale. Quite a number of Winter skins are coming to hand and realised very satisfactory prices.
