A decision of cons’derable significance to Empire defence is announced in Fleet orders. All British Navy ratings henceforth will be liable to duty ir. the Dominions’ navies. Volunteers will be sought first, and if insufficient available ratings will he drafted for service in the Dominions, the same as for the Royal Navy service abroad.
