O’Brien, M.P., has received the following replies from Ministers of the Crown to recommendations made by him:— AERO MAIL. “I received your letter of the 13th instant and appreciate what you say in suppont of your request that arrangements be made for the maintenance of a weekly mail service to Okuru and that negotiations he entered into with the Aero Company with a view of including Bruce Bay as a stopping place fur mails. I shall be pleased to look into your representations on this matter and will communicate with you again in due course. Yours faithfully ADAM HAMILTON. SILVER PINE POLES. I duly received your letter of the 13th instant ’in which you mention that a number of bushmen have deliv ered silver pine poles to various railway sidings on the West Coast and inquire whether it would be possible for such of the men who have been more or .less unemployed during the last year or two to be paid for the poles* tha>t have been so delivered and branded by the Department. ] shall be glad to look into this matter and wil' write you again as soon as possible. MA.TAINUI (WATAROA) LANDING GROUND. 1 find I oniiittcd to advise you, in reply to your letter of the 16th ultimo that authority has been given for an expenditure of £l5O ito enable improve ments to be made to the above-men-tioned landing ground. This is conditional on the local aero club providing a. num of £5O towards the cost of the work. I 'trust the outcome wiJl be the establishment of a useful aerodrome at Wataroa.
