Nelson in 1924, and Archdeacon of Waimea a year later. He was Vicar General Commissary of the Diocese. Registrar. Member of Standing Committee of the Diocesan Trust Board. Chairman of St. Andrew’s Orphanage, and Clerical Secretary of the Now Zealand Church Missionary Society. His work among the sick in hospitals will long be remembered.
