(Our Own Correspondent.') REEFTON, May 24 The sudden death took place at l her residence, Jkamatua, this nioining, of Mrs Maggie Leggoe, 41, wife of Mr Henry Leggoe, of Ikamatua. Deceas cd was in Reefton yesterday, ami seemed in the best of health, so that her sudden death has come as a great shock to her many friends here. She passed away at the breakfasb tabic. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Williams, of Black’s Point. She leaves a husband ■'ml family of three sons and one daughter. She also leaves four brothcis Samuel and Joseph (Christchurch), and Thomas and Stanley (Wai uta A, and a stepbrother, Mr R. White (AVaiu a). The family- will have the heartfelt sympathy of a very wide circle oi friends in their great loss. Air F. S. Hay, of Murchison, has been appointed headmaster of the Reefton District High School. He arrived in ’Reefton on AVednesday, w lh Mrs Hay and family. Thciro was a very large attendance at the luangaliua Band’s dance on AVednesday evening. All spoke in the highest terms of the enjoyable time spent. The music was supplied by the Band and Mrs Eklund was pian iste. Mr L. Robinson made an adm’rable M.C. On behalf of the Band he also thanked the old patrons of the Band for their continued support and welcomed the new ones.
