HOCKEY
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 14. The Indian hockey team left for Dannev'irke this morning, to play the first match of the tour to-morrow. The team practised yesterday, at Karori Park. Their ball control was considered uncanny by the spectators. The members’ were received at Government House by the GovernorGeneral. During the afternoon, the Indians placed a wreath on the Wellington Citizens war memorial. COBDEN v. HOKITIKA. The following will represent Cobdeu against Talma A at Rugby Park at S p.nr. to-day:—Mettriek, Carter (2), Beckman. Burn. Skeats, Moore, Weir, Eatwell, McLauchlan, T. O’Connor, Minehin. Technical v. Mawhera at Rugby Park to-day at 2 p.m.—Vaughan, Smyth, Kibble, East. Davy, Thomson, Newton (2), Moss, Denton, Dawber, Williams, McLennan.
