NATIONAL TRIBUTE Foreign Condolences (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. May 13. The King has despatched a message of condolence to the President of Poland, on tho death of Marshal Pilsudski. to whose work warm tributes a r e paid by the British Press’. In a personal message to the Polish F< reign Minister, Mr Eden says: “1 rhall always remember the interview with lum which I was privileged to have during my visit to Warsaw. I hasten to rssure your Excellency of my deep, sincere sympathy in this grievous Icrs, which the Polish Nation ha - mi tiered. ” BERLIN. May 13. Chancellor Hitler has telegraphed to it he Polish Government an expression of sympathy on the death of Marshal Pilsudski, paying a tribute to Pilsudski’s service for the pacification of Europe. Berlin newspapers speculate on the effects of the death on Polish foreign policy, and are afraid it will weaken the Polish-German understanding. THE OBSEQUIES. WARSAW. May 13. According to Marshal Pilsudski’s desire, his brain will be given to the Polish Universities’ for research. His heart is being buried with his mother’s remains, which will be re-in-terred at Vilna, Marshal Pilsudski’s birthplace. The body, embalmed, will rest at Vavel Castle, Cracow, beside Poland’s great Kings and patriots, including Cosciuscko. The Government has decreed national mourning. The President issued a manifesto describing Pilsudski as the greatest man in Polish history. He created the Polish State and Army. THE LYING IN STATE. CROWDS PASSING- BIER.
