FRENCH MINISTER Lavish Entertainments (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received May 14, 9.40 p.m.) LONDON, May 14. The “Diiily Telegraph’s” Moscow correspondent' says; The French Foreign Minister. M. Laval, arrived at Moscow and found the station decorated with red flags and French tricolours. "Miss Zina Litvinoff presented M. Laval’s daughter with a bouquet of white roses. A band played “La Marseilles" and Ihe “ Tnternn’tionale.’' M. Laval drove through streets lined with spectators to the residence of a former textile millionaire, M. Morosoff. where he will stay as the guest 'of the Soviet. The crowd in tho street- applauded, but was less demonstrative than on tho occasion of Mr A. Eden’s visit.

After a conference with M. Litvinoff. AL Laval visited Lenin's tomb and a new underground railway. He attended a banquet in the evening, which"'was followed by a reception, atl which there were five hundred guests and Soviet generals. Tho gown.? worn by the wives of tho Soviet' officials were the subject of favourable comment among the French delegation. The guests included forty French journalists. A lavish supper was provided. Dancing followed until 4 a.m.
