HOCKEY
INDIAN TEAM AT WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, Alay 13. The Indian hockey team arrived today, and were met by officials at the boat, and afterwards were accorded a civic welcome. The Mayor made reference to the friendly attitude of Rugby and Association football authorities, in agree ing to postpone matches on June Ist, to avoid clashing with t'he hockey. India, versus Wellington, fixture. Air Goodman. President of the New Zealand Hockey Association, also spoke. The manager of the team, Air B. Doctor, said that if the visit gave an impetus to the game in New Zealand, the real object would be attained. They were more or less on a goodwill mission. The visitors were entertained at morning tea by the Government at Parliament House.
