A spectacular, romantic comedy set to many melodies is “Evergreen,” the Gaumont British production, starring Jessie Matthews and Sonnie Hale and screening at the Victoria Theatre tonight and to-morrow (Saturday) matinee and evening. A romance of the gay nineties, ends in the present day. There are seven big song hits in the picture, spectacular dancing and glittering spectacles.
