ADDINGTON SALE Yesterday’s Prices (Our Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH. May 8. At the Addington market to-daV there was a moderate yarding of fat lambs, the quality being generally £ood Values were very satisfactory, considering a lower schedule ruling. The market was firm. Best heavy lambs sold t 0 26s lOd, prime from 20s 6d to 235. medium 18s to 20s. light from 14s.

There was a full yarding of mutton, mostly of good quality. Values for best grades were on a par with late rates. Light sorts were easier. Values per hundred lbs. were: Prime handyweight steers 25s to 275, prime 21s to 235, medium 18s to 20s, inferior from 16s, best cows to 21s, medium 16s to 18s, inferior cows from 12s; best heifers. 20s to 235, medium 19s to 20s, inferior from 16s.

There was a medium yarding of fat pigs. Porkers were firmer, and baeoners particularly so. The quality was below standard. Porkers fetched from 29s 6d to 34s 6d, heavier 36s 6d to 40s 6d. The average price was 4|d to s}d per lb. Heavy baconers fetched 58s 6d to 65s 6d, extra heavy to £3 14s 6d, the average price being 4|d to 5d per lb.
