WESTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL. WESTPORT, May 8. The Borough and County elections were held to-day in beautiful weather, with keen interest on the part of the electors. The Mayor, Mr J. Kilkenny was reelected. With the polling for the Council incomplete at midnight, the voting with one booth still to come, was as follows:— •I- Bird 650 J. M. Robertson 627 O. L. Nahr 625 G. The new members are Crs. Bird, O’Dea and Thomas, while the old mem bers returned are Crs. Robertson (who polled nearly twice as many as for the Mayoralty), Nahr, Taylor, Fox, Radford and Stowell. CHRISTCHURCH MAYORALTY MR. SULLIVAN’S RETURN. CHRISTCHURCH, May 8. Mr D. G. Suilivan, M.P. (Labour), the sitting Mayor, was re-eleeted today. The poll was the largest ever known. In the City Council elections, the Citizens’ Association candidates are leading, and the indications are that thev mav secure a good majority on the Council. The count has not proceeded far yet, however. For the Harbour Board, the four city seats look like being equally divided between Labour and the Citizens’ candidates.
