Mrs A. .Tack will leave to-day on •eturn to Christchurch. Mrs C. Duffy will leave to-day on return to Winton. Mrs O. Baird will leave to-day on return to Eden dale. Miss K. O’Brien, of Wellington, is on a holiday visit to Greymouth. Miss J. Waugh has resigned from the position of Sister at the Grey Hospital- and leaves to-morrow for the North Island. Mr R. Hall. Vice-President of the New Zealand Aerated Waters Association. leaves on Saturday for Auckland, to attend a meeting of the Association. The death is announced from London of the Duke of Richmond, aged 64 years. Tie was the holder of many titles, and owned 286.500 acres, including the Goodwood estate. According to a London cablegram, Mr J. A. Lyons is indisposed, and was unable to attend a mooting of Prime Ministers owing To the recent strain of continuous functions. He remained at h's ho‘el all day because of a recurrence of nervous trouble. The death has occurred at Perth of Mr W. E, J. Salter, aged 69, a jour nalist associated with Australian jour nalism for 50 years.
