WORLD WHEAT
SURPLUS NOW DISAPPEARING. WINNIPEG. Oeitober 18. Mr John McFarland, the General Manager of the Central Seiling Agency of the Canadian Wheat Pools, told tonight a private gathering of delegates to the annual conference of the Manitoba Wheat Pool that he expected to retire in about a yeat. Taking an optimistic view of the world marketing problems, Mr McFarland said that his surplus was fa/t disappearing and tho job would be over in a year. The wheat glut on the market. was being eliminated. despite the Argentine operations. Mr McFarland has been in charge of the Government’s wheat stabilisation operations on ithe Winnipeg Grain Exchange.
