WESTLAND FOOTBALL ASSN. The weekly meeting of the W.F.A was held last evening, those preseni being Messrs W. Robertson (Presi dent), E. Airey, E. flood. J. B. Pa ton. F. M. Smyth. C. Restieaux (Sec retary), and W. Rafferty (Referees Delegate). The referee’s reports were accepted as satisfactory. A challenge from Waiuta for tin Blackmuii Cup Was accepted, th match to be played on a date yet to be arranged. The report of Mr C. Resiteaux manager of the junior representative team on its visit to Nelson, was ac cepted as satisfactory. After some discussion, it was decided to submit September 9 to the Buller F.A. as the date for the ’Emm’s Shield match.* The resignation of Mr W. Rafferty as junior selector was accepted with i egret. The senior selector was instructed to select the team to meet P>uller> by next Tuesday evening. The Technical School Club were granted permission to play senior and junior Otago Boys’ High School teams on Wednesday. August 29. FIXTURES. Senior: Dobson v. Runanga, at Dobson, at 2.45 p.m. (R. Nelson). Blaekmun Cup (senior): Cobden v. Greymouth, at Cobden, at 3 p.m. (W. Rafferty). Juniors: Taylorville v. Blackball, at Taylorville, at 2.45 p.m. (J. Mossop); Greymouth v. Manist, at Victoria Park, at 2.45 p.m. (A. R. Ramil’.); Runanga v. Technical, at Victoria Park, at 1.15 p.m. (€. Restieaux); Cobden v. Waiuta, at Cobden, at 2.45 p.m.. on Sunday (J. Smith). Fourth grade; Cobden B v. Technical A, at Cobden, at 12.15 (A. MrLean); Cobden A v. Grevmouth A, at Cobden, at 1.30 (C. Hodgson); Greymouth B v. Technical B. at Victoria Park, at 12.15 (W. Sharp).
