The New Zealanders, Andrews, Malcolm and Young simultaneously occupied the centre courts at the Kent tennis championship at Beckenham. Andrews had an cosy victory and entered the last eight. Young failed, being beaten by the South African, Kirby 6/3. 9/11. 6/3.
