Claim Against Coy ALLEGED MISREPRESENTATION. (p-’r Press Association). AUCKLAND. Jun e 15. After a hearing lasting for 154 days tho ease concluded in the Supreme Court in which forty-nine shareholders in tho Speedwell Oil Company New Zealand) Ltd., claimed £4631* from Harry Clinton McElwain, a former director of the Company. Plaintiffs alleged that representations in the prospectus of the Company were untrue, and that the Company did not obtain the full minimum subscript ion of £6OOO within 90 days, as provided in the prospectus The defence was a general <lenial of the allegations. Judgment was reserved.
