FRAUD CHARGES
GOODS SOLD UNDER COST. (per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 14. David Rosenlha.J, alias David Ross, pleaded not guilty to-day, and was committed for trial, on two charges of obtaining goods, valued at £1.58 18s 2d from Reginald G. Kain, by false pretences, and a charge of stealing £36 6s 7d in money, the property of Alfred George Barton. It was alh’ged accused went to Kain’s warehouse in Wellington, and on the representation that the goods he. was ordering were for Mr Kerslake in Masterton, obtained goods of the va-lue of £lOB, and that.he then went To Auckland. and obtained goods valued at £5O 18s 2d. by representing he was Kerslake, afterwards conducting auction sales in towns on the East Coast and selling tho goods at ra.tcs Inflow cost, am] never accounting to Kain for the money.
