MANAGEMENT COAIMITTEE. The Alanagement Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union met last evening. Air A. A. Adams (President) presiding. The New Zealand Union wrote stating that the re-instatement applications of W. Vaughan. L- Alowatt and J. Hardie had been granted. The Paroa School Committee forwarded a letter of thanks for kindnesses and attention shown the Paroa schoolboys at the seven-a-side tourney.

The date suggested for the Seddon Shield match. Puller v. West Coast at Greymouth on August 19, was conflrmThe Al a rlborough Union wrote confirming September U’th as the date for the Seddon Shield challenge game at Greymouth. The Blaketown Club advised that its third grade team could only put out about ten players, and that there were six or seven junior players unable to get a game. The letter suggested that as these additional juniors could not be relegated to third grade on account I of the age limit, the Club be permit-j ted to withdraw the third grade team' and enter a second junior fifteen. It was decided to accept the nomination of a second junior team, the team to commence playing in the second round of fixtures. A challenge was received from the Westland Sub-Union for the Dittman Shield. June 24th was the date suggested. The Sub-Union also suggested that the matches for the Shield be honie-and-home games, irrespective of what centre is the holder. It was pointed out by the Chairman that it should not. be overlooked that the Lake Brunner Sub-Division would also have to receive consideration in such arrangements. He considered the suggestion should be deferred, until the annual meeting. On the motion of Air Ryan it was decided to suggest to the AVestland Sub-Union that the Dittman Shield match be played at Greymouth on Wednesday. June 21st. owing to the large number of representative matches which will have to be played on Saturdays. Mr Ryan pointed out that by playing the match on Wednesday it would give business people, who could md always attend on Saturdays, I an opportunity to witness a match. Il was decided that the President ami Secretary endeavour to ma-ke arrangements for the Dittman Shield match to be played as soon as possible, ami that the selector select the Grevmouth team if the match is airanged. Air Ada.ms was appointed selector of the Greymouth team, and Alessrs D. IL Dowell (Hokitika) and Adams were re-appointed selectors of the West (’oast representa t i vcs. It was decided that the junior clubs be invited to nominate selectors, three being required. The President was empowered to procure a new set of representative stockings. It was decided to request the Lake Brunner Sub-Division to play a friondIv match with a senior B team at (irevniouth on July Ist, which is the date of the West Coast-Buller first homc-and-home match at Westport. Messrs 11. Spark. 11. M. Petrie, G. Anderson and J. Phillips were appointed a. Social Committee, with power to act. The referee of the Cobden ABapahoC junior match last Saturday reported that he had occasion to order off R. Baird, a Rapalioe player, for repeatedly disputing the referee’s decisions.—ll was decided to place the player in question on the caution list. Accounts amounting to £l7 -5s were passed for payment. Tempcro); Star v. Cobden B at Cobden, 3 p.m. (P. Thomson). Third grade: Tech B v. Blaketown at Tech ground, 1.30 p.m. (W. McLaughlin): Tech A v. Cobden at 1.30 p.m. (F. McGrath).
