FOUND HANGED. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 13. The body of a man, later identified as Robert Ruxton Lees, of 130 Queen Street, was found hanging from one of the trees in the Town Belt at Kilbirnie this evening, by the caretaker of the Town Belt Reserve. He had apparently been dead for about 24 hours. Deceased, who is described as a librarian, was about 60 years of age. DEATH AFTER SOCIAL. x NEW PLYAIOUTH, June 12. Duncan John Hepburn, a resident of the AwakiiWMahoenui district, was found dead in his bunk yesterday morning. Hepburn attended a social at Alahoenui on Saturday night and it is surmised that while returning home he tripped and received the injury which led to his death. SWINE FEVER. WELLINGTON, Juno 13. Full compensation is to be paid by the Government to owners of swine destroyed as the result of tho out break of fever. Compensation will also be paid iu respect to pigstyes de stroyod.
