HOTEL BAR RAIDED. (Per Press Association; AUCKLAND, June 10. Considerable excitement was caused in the city early this afternoon when three detectives raided an hotel and tinested the barman. On entering the bar they announced that it was being raided as a common gaming house. AH customers left, some leaving their drinks, and the police then closed the doors while they searched for betting material The bar doors were closed for halt an hour, this causing a number of people to gather outside. Eater Harry McDonald, aged 44, was remanded on bail on a charge of using a public bar as a gaming house.
