N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS. DUNEDIN, September 22. The second round of the New Zea land billiards championship was completed to-day, when H. McLean (Christchurch) defeated P. AT. Keppel (Alilton) by 666 to 420. and C. Alason (Dunedin) beat A. Lindsay (Dunedin) by 666 to 575. In the former game, which was not a high class one, ATcLean was the cleaner player, and gradually drew ahead to win by a comfortable margin. Mason, who played a brilliant game on Tuesday, was not in form to day and though he .won with a good deal to spare, he was never sure of Ids position, and Lindsay put up a great fight. Mason’s best breaks was 57, 47. 44 and 42, and Lindsay’s 62, 30 .and several twenties.
