WEEKLY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the We.;'. Coast Rugby Union was held last evening. Present, Messrs A. A. Adams (chairman), T. Mclntosh, W. Williams. F. J. Tempe ro, C. Rodgers, A. MilnA. White, J. Cornish, I. Steel, J. Pat terson, W. Rothwell, F. Kyle, T. Ryan and W. Bruce (secretary). A letter from the Technical School stated that owing to the autumn vacation, the school teams will be unable to play on the 14 and 21 of May.

The N.Z.R.U. wrote that Messrs E. McKenzie (Wairarapa) and A. Me Donald (Otago) had been appointed selectors of the North Island and South Island team.® respectively and also to select the New Zealand team. A further letter asked lor the nominations for the South Island team tc reach Wellington not later than noon on May 28. It was resolved that it be left to the selectors to nominate any suitable players for the South Is land team.

The Westland Sub-Union asked for a definite instruction from the Union as to whether the three front toa scrummage should be adopted. It was decided to reply that the matter i** only a recommendation, but as ail Coast teams will be picked with this scrummage, and without a wing-for-ward, it is in the clubs ’ interests to adopt the formation. A letter was received from the Lake Brunner Sub-division stating that an application had been received from the Bell Hill Club for admission to r.na Lake Brunner competition and the matter was to be decided at their next meeting. It was requested that all players in the Sub-division be reclassified as juniors, with the right to play senior way from the division.—The request was granted. TFo officers of the sub-division for 1932 were appointed as follows:—President, Mr J. Willis; secretary, Mr A. Robertson; delegates, Messrs S. Wallace, A. McConnell, C. Bryan, S. Southern, C. Kennedy, G. Gillanders, A. Hill ano B. Dowell. It was resolved that a sub-committeo comprising Messrs Adams andEggle'on go into the matter of sub-division boundaries, and that the sub-division be congratulated on the manner in which they have acquired teams in their competition.

It was moved by Mr J. Cornish ano seconded by Mr Patterson that the Press be # admitted to the meetings of the Committee.—The motion was ear riod.

The Cobden senior team was granted permission to travel to Ruru during the "week-end. Messrs A. A. Adams and D. R. Dowell were appointed joint selectors g£ the West Coast teams. Messrs F. W. I Baillie. W. Inglis and G. Jamieson were appointed junior selectors. Seven applications for re-admission to the code were recommended to the N.Z.R.U. for approval. It was left in the hands of the Secretary and Mr Ryan to secure th? services of a man to look after the stand and flags of a Saturday.

Blake town at Rugby Park No. 2 at 1.30 p.m. (W. Pring); United v. Cobden. Fourth grade: Technical B. v. Con den at Technical ground at 1.30 p.m. (Tempero). The following officials were elected: Gatekeeper: Mr I. Steel; Timekeepers: Messrs H. D- Milne and J, Pat terson.
