NOTED AIRWOMAN

Fraulein Beinhorn ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 3. Fraulein Beinnhorn, the German aviatrix, who arrived at Port Darwin on March 22, after flying from Germany in a small aeroplane, arrived here to-day from Sydney by the steamer Maunganui. She was the guest this afternoon at a reception given by Mr Penseler, the German Consul. In an interciew. she explained that flying, to her, was only a means of getting about. She was out to .see the world, but chiefly her flight on this occasion was taken to escape the German winter. She had commenced, on the passage from Sydney, to write a book on this last flight, because she knew that when she got to Germany, she would not get the time to do it there. She strongly advocates flying for women. She says they handle small machines just as well as men. and, in some cases, much better.
