(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 1. The weather report and forecast are as follows:—General situation: A cyclone is still centred east of East Cape, and it is still deep. A very intense anti-cyclone is moving on to New Zealand, its centre being to the south. Forecast: Winds south to south-east, strong generally, and in places of gale force. Seas (N.Z. waters): Moderate south of Farewell Spit; heavy on the east coast elsewhere rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong south to South east winds, and rough seas. Weather: Fair on West Coast of the South Island, elsewhere still dull, cold and showery, but improving gradually in the -western districts
