There have been. 163 nominations received for the 62 seats in the Queensland Legislative Assembly for the election on June 11th. The two main parties are the Nationalist and Labour Parties. They will have to fight twenty Queensland Party supporters, eight Communists, and Lang Planners, and also several Independents. Five Labour candidates have been elected unopposed. One Independent has been returned unopposed.
