MAIL PLANE CRASH Tragedy in Near East (Aus. A N.Z. Cable Assn). , (Received March 31 at 7.10 p.m.) BAGHDAD, March 30. A French air liner engaged in a mail service between Damascus and Baghdad, crashed on a sandy mound during a sandstorm, killing the pilot, the mechanic and a passenger, Colonel De Reynier, a Swiss, the President of the League of Nations Commission, who was appointed to delimit the IraqSyrian frontier.
