In a British heavyweight championship bout, at Leicester, 15 rounds, Reggie Meen, of Leicestershire, outpointed Charlie Smith, of Deptford. MEEN’S POWERFUL ATTACK. LONDON, November 16. In the bcbfling contest, Reggio Moen beat Smith, wfabsei age is 23 years, and is the youngest boxer to bold th e British heavyweight title. His victory was a surprise, as Smith won their two previous fights, but Meen was the more aggressive, and boxed well .throughout. He started a two-handed body assault, Smith replying with punishing lefts. There was a good deal of futile rushing and clinching until the sisth round, when Meen'g left-handed swinn-a twice sent Smith through the ropes, but he managed to survive the round. Meen seemed t o be tiring out. but early in th e ninth round, he downed Sjinith for a short count, after which he safiled in regardless of Smith’s defensive punches, and finished strongly staggering Smith with a right-handed face blow.
