SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, November 9. The Sydney wool sales resumed today with very good competition in all sections. Values showed an improvement of five per cent, on late Sydney rates for fleece wool and seven and a-half per cent. on skirtings and crossbreds. Greasy merino made 204 pence, which is the record for the sea son. There were 11,788 bales offered, and 11,311 bales were sold, also 2,277 were sold privately. The average price at last series was £ll 17s Id per bale, or nine point one pence per pound.
