MORTGAGE INTEREST
Reduction Question (Special to “Argus.”) WELLINGTON, November 9. The Mortgagors’ Relief Amendment Bill was introduced into the House of Representatives at midnight, and was read a first time. Mr Forbes, replying to a question, explained that the measure established a Special Adjustment Court for the purpose of considering a reduction in the rates of interest on mortgages. This power was not given in the original Act, which covered only the question of postponement.
