REVIVED AT WELLINGTON

The following resolution was carried unanimously yesterday, by signatories to the recent business and professional men’s- memorandum on fusion: 1 ‘That thi s meeting of signatories of the memorandum addressed early in April to the (Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, urging that the United and Reform Parties should come t°gether, is convinced that a National Party is absolutely essential to the future welfare and safety of the Dominion, and'that its formation sooner or later is inevitable. That thig meeting- feels very strongly that the possibilities of the formation of a strong National Party should he explored in conference between the Reform and United Parties, without delay. That, in furtherance of the foregoing resolutions, thip meeting urges everyone inside and outside of Parliament, to give the matter earnest consideration from a national standpoint, with no thought of party.
