Darby has entered the Reefton Hosptial in order to undergo an ’ oporatoin. Mr 11. Tatley, of Alexander River, is spending a few days in the township. I Mr P. O’Donnell was a visitor to | IlarihaYi last week. i Fine weather is being experienced still, and householders are threatened with a shortage of water. Water is also becoming scarce 1 at the battery. The winners of the trophies for the ] batting, bowling and catching for the Waiuta Cricket Club for the season are as follows:—Batting (trophy presented | by Mr J. Kyle, Greymouth) J. Green 261 runs. 6 innings, average 43.5. Bowl- f ing (gold medal donated by Mr C. j Pratt, Waiuta), J. Green, 22 wickets, 87 runs, average 3.0. Catching (gold medal donated by Mr P. O’Donnell, I Waiuta), R. Woods, 13 catches. The' club are indebted to the gentlemen I donating the trophies. A good many local residents visited Reefton on Thursday evening for the ( Reefton Cricket Club’s annual ball, and all spent an enjoyable evenig.
