UNEMPLOYMENT ACT
WATBRSIDEKS’ opposition. W ELLINGTON, April 23. A complaint that the waterside workers were not detaining the benefits they were entitled to under the Unemployment Aet, was made to the Labour Minister to-day by a deputation of representatives of the Waterride Union. The denounced the Art' as inadequate. They considered that it should be repealed, and replaced by legislation which would cope with the position, but until this wa s done the * v, atersiders who paid the levy were, entitled to the provisions set out i» the existing measure. Th« Minister stated that he fully sympathised with) the waterside workers, and would investigate the reprementations made.
