SARRON AGAIN

Boxing Lesson FOR JOHNNY LECKIEf. WELLINGTON, February 4. Pete Sarron, the Alabama Syrian, gave Johnny Leckie, the New Zealander, a boxing lesson before a crowded hall to-night There was only one man in it. Revealing ringcraft of the highest grade, the American showed beautiful footwork and speed. He practically did as he liked. Sarron rushed his man fool the ropes in the second round, and drove a terrific right to the nose, from which the New Zealander never recovered. He had difficulty in breathing, and was spitting blood, but he gamely carried on until the end of the ninth round, when he intimated that he was unable to continue, owing to the difficulty he was experiencing in breathing, on account of his nose having been broken in the second round.

It is not too much to say that the New Zealand public do not know how really clever a boxer Sarron is, as there is no one in this country capable of fully extending him. He proved .himself the soul of chivalry this evening/ by refraining from unduly punishing a palpably beaten opponent.
