NINETY RAMS DIE.

FARMER’S SERIOUS LOSS. WAIPUKURAU, Alay 13. A heavy loss has befallen Air George E. Merriken, sheep farmer, of Ha’uma, near Waipukurau. On Saturday night, after treating over ninety stud Southdown rams with a well-known firm’s sheep tablets, Alerriken turned the rams into a paddock of green oats. The feed almost immediately set up a scour in the flock. As a result the ninety rams died. Apart from the loss of his stud at this season of the year, the owner estimates hi§ financial loss at over £9OO.
