Summonses are being, issued against four Labour Leaders, Messrs Jock Garden (secretary of the Labour Council Disputes Committee), Kavanagh (chairman of the Committee), Reeve (a member) and Ryan, for participating in the demonstration made at the Darlinghurst Court when a number of the timber strikers -were summoned to return to work. LONGER HOURS MOVE. AGAINST AUSTRALIAN RAILWAYMEN. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received Mav 12 at 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 12. The Union leaders are advising the lailway men to refuse to comply with the Government’s request for an individual decision from each of them for a hew log. The Union leaders contend that the matter is one which should be determired by the Union Executives, and not by the members person ally.
