REEFTON NOTES.

(From Out Correspondent.) REEFTON, April 17. Mrs Bailey, of Upper Broadway, entered Reefton Hospital yesterday for treatment. Mr D. Scott, of the Buller Road, visited Christchurch during the weekend, to attend the funeral of his lat J sister, Miss Scott. Mr Rupert J. Archer, youngest son of Mr and the late Mrs F. A. G. Archer, was married at Wellington last week to Miss Eileen M. Thurston, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. P* Thurston, of Masterton. The Maori Concert Party which is touring in aid of the Maori Wesleyan Mission, gave an entertainment at Reefton last evening, before a lerg* 3 audience. The Rev. A. J. Seamer, who is in charge of the party, returned thanks to the public for their patronage. and in doing so referred to the efforts of the different churches doing mission work amongst the Maori people. The pay-out for butter fat to suppliers of the Golden Coast Co-operative Dairy Company’s Reefton Factory for March is £2479/2/4, and for the Maruia factory £615/10/1, making a total of £3094/12/5. Last season showed a grand total of nearly £903 less than this season’s. Up to the present, payments for this season amount to £17,060/5/6 and £3,520/8/5, totalling £20,580/3/11. compared with £16.612 and £2,853, total £19,465 for last season, an increase this season of £1.115. Butter made for Reefton and Maruia factories totalled 149 tons 1 cwt and 30 tons llewt respectively, making a grand total of 179 tons 12 cwt for the present reason.
