PERENNIAL RYE.
POVERTY BAY’S PRODUCT. PALMERSTON N., April 12. With reference to the Gisborne I elogram and Mr Bruce Ia <vy ’s pronouncements on perennial rye. it is by Mr Levy that all ’ye grown on the East Coast is referred to as Hawke’s Bay rye. Tn the :-‘xp<r intent al plots a|t the research station, it was the grouping of Poverty Bay rye under Hawke’’s Bay, that led to the wrong impression created in Gisborne.
