FATALITIES.
A Motor Victim. DUNJiDIN, February .11. Albi-lrt Kennedy McNamee, a single man, thirty-four years of age, died in the Public Hospital mis mornisg. McNamee was injured as the result of a tyro blowing out while he was being driven in a motor-oar near Tuapeka Mouth on Friday, and he was remjovi‘d to Dunedin Hospital yesterday. An inquest was opened at the hoi* pital this afternoon. Patrick Lyons Aujderson, a farmer, who, was the driver of the car, gave evidence as to the fact that when the tyr|? blew out, the car slewed round, but it was thought the deceased had not been seriously injured. He complained that lie had hurt his neck ,but it was not until Sunday that it was thought nxyessary to summon Dr Radcliff, who ordered his removal to the Dunedin Hospital. The inquest was adjourned.
YOUTH’S TERRIBLE DEATH. SYDNEY, February 11. James Curran, aged 16, met a terrible death while bathing at Woronora river. He was preparing to dive from the ledge of a rock, when it snapped off, and threw Curran and a com panion into the water, falling on top of them. The second lad managed to scramble clear, but Curran was held down by the rock and slowly drowned. MOTOR CYCLIST’S DEATH. DUNEDIN, February 11. That death was the result of shock and cerebral injuries, caused by being accidentally thrown from a motor *ycle, ridden by himself, on Little bourne Road, on February 2, was the verdict returned by the Coroner (Mr H. W. Bundi?, S.M.), at the adjourned inquest into thej circumstances surrounding the death of Robert Shaw Wright, held before him this morning.
