RANGIORA FIRE.
RETURNED SOLDIERS’ LOSS. CHRISTCHURCH, January 14. Early this morning a fire destroyed a large wooden building at the West Belt, Rangiora, owned by Woods Bros., apiarists, and used by them as a factory and storeroom, in addition to a quantity of plant, which included an electric oven and boilers used in connection with the apiary. About seven tons of honey and a quantity of other material were also destroyed. The owners, who are both returned soldiers, will be heavy losers. Damage is estimated at £lOOO. The insurance was £260 in the State Office qp the building and plant, and £250 on the honey in A.P.A.
