Shoots Himself. FROM FEAR OF DEATH BY CANCER. (Received January 14 at 8.40 p-m.) NEW YORK, January 14. Emil Fuchs, an internationally famous painter and sculptor, committed suicide by shooting himself. He had been in ill health for some time. LATER. In his suicide, Fuch, the world famous sculptor, made sure of his aim. He held a tortoise-shell framed glass as he pulled the trigger. His Sister, arriving for Sunday luncheon, found his body, and she rushed to the window and screamed, bringing pedestrians to the house. They found a note addressed to his sister, stating that he felt that he was dying from cancer.
