KARORO SPORTS CLUB. Under ideal weather conditions the Karoro Sports Club’s first road race of the season was held on Saturday. The course, from Karoro to Paroa and back, was a bit dusty, and the strong southerly prevailing militated against fast times. Eleven men faced the starter, and the winner turned up in G. Taylor (off SOsees), T. Howson (off the same mark) being second, and S. .Tames (off 60secs) being placed third. It was a great finish, being only won in the last two yards by inches, and the third man being three lengths back. The. winner’s time was 18mins 42secs, and fastest time of 17mins 12
