EX-ALDERMAN SHOT.
MAN WITH REVOLVER ARRESTED. SYDNEY, December 9. During a fight between two men over a betting transaction, at a hotel in Waterloo Suburb last night, Robert Prophett, 36, attempted to separate the combatants, when somebody fired a re volver and shot Prophett in the abdomen, critically injuring him. The police have arrested a young man, who was seen to walk outside with a revolver in his hand. Prophett was a former Aiderman of that municipality.
